It is with great regret that we have to announce our website, Hand Knit Baby Wear, will be closing down.

All of our stock will be reduced in the coming weeks.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the wonderful ladies who have lovingly crafted our gorgeous clothes, and without whose support this website would not have been possible.

A unique, hand made present is the perfect way to celebrate the birth of a new baby. Mass produced clothes are available everywhere, which is why a beautifully hand knitted outfit is the perfect new baby gift.

We have used classic styles from the 40's, 50's and 60's to create traditional outfits as well as designing modern, fun pieces. Made up by professional hand knitters in the UK using the traditional 2 needle method, our collection of clothing will fit premature babies to toddlers.

Together with our Japanese range we offer our customers the opportunity to dress their babies in clothes unavailable on the high street.
When you buy hand made instead of buying from a corporate giant you are getting a service from us that they rarely offer.

Our Design Team

Our in-house designers Di Donald, Val Iddeson, Tina Dix, Sandra Skupham, Isobel Malcolm and Catherine Garnet have created items that are exclusive to Hand Knit Baby Wear.

Angela Turner specialises in premature baby clothes and we are very proud to have had one of her designs chosen as part of a children's wear feature in Vogue!
