About HandKnitBabywear.comA unique, hand made present is the perfect way to celebrate the birth of a new baby. Mass produced clothes are available everywhere, which is why a beautifully hand knitted outfit is the perfect new baby gift. We have used classic styles from the 40's, 50's and 60's to create traditional outfits as well as designing modern, fun pieces. Made up by professional hand knitters in the UK using the traditional 2 needle method, our collection of clothing will fit premature babies to toddlers. Please note that we are unable to knit up patterns supplied by customers, nor do we knit to order. Together with our Japanese range we offer our customers the opportunity to dress their babies in clothes unavailable on the high street. When you buy hand made instead of buying from a corporate giant you are getting a service from us that they rarely offer. Hand made means we care about quality and attention to detail. Hand made means we care about customer service and helping the local economy. Hand made means the item you buy has been lovingly knitted by people who take pride in their work. Our Design TeamOur in-house designers Di Donald, Catherine Garnet, Emma Knowles and Michele Nicholls have created items that are exclusive to Hand Knit Baby Wear. Angela Turner specialises in premature baby clothes and we are very proud to have had one of her designs chosen as part of a children's wear feature in Vogue! 2012 will see 2 new designers added to our team - Isobel Malcolm and Val Eyley. We hope you will like their designs as much as we do ! Our Sales PolicyWe know if you see something you want it immediately, so if it is on the website it is available. We aim to post out your parcel within 2 days of receiving your order, but delivery times are totally dependant upon Royal Mail. Our Returns PolicyIn addition to the standard returns policy we will refund or exchange any item should a customer be dissatisfied with their purchase ( providing the garment has not been worn ). We try very hard to describe and photograph the clothes as accurately as possible, but sometimes shades cannot be reproduced exactly due to camera or computer limitations !
